Even if you’re not John Cusack, boomboxes are cool. We gotten
past the point of cassette tapes and D-batteries (if they even make
these anymore) though, so we need one that works with phones and mp3
players. Unfortunately, finding a boombox that looks as good as the ones
from the 80s, and supports modern technology, is easier said than done.
That’s why we’re picking up
one of these Berlin Boomboxes for the office. Outside of the necessary electronics the boombox is made entirely of cardboard. The printed pieces of cardboard are shipped to you with the electronic bits and then you get to construct your very own Berlin Boombox (no tools or “geek knowledge” necessary). We can’t fathom why anyone would ever want to recycle it, but it’s also recyclable should the need arise. $50+
